Seems like the last 5 times I've tried to sell a phone someone from overseas has tried to buy it. Either using a package forwarding company and did not tell me or sending to a friend's house or some such thing.

WEBYES! I have bought four phones now from Swappa, and in two cases, they were "under-described" to the point that I think they were essentially new, but changed hands once in a retail store but sold as "Good." Out of the four, one is still in use today as a daily driver, and it is from Feb. 2017.

WEBSep 29, 2020 · If you do have a problem with a device you buy on there, they have a very generous return policy. Am by no means a "business" or shop owner but from having switched through multiple carriers and such, have sold several phones there as well as bought a few for myself and family members. Have had zero issues there.
Are Swappa phones marked "fair" condition OK for trades?
WEBFeb 8, 2023 · Yes. I always buy the "good" conditions phones. My most recent has absolutely no signs of wear on the screen (description confirmed) but minor wear on the body (paint flaking off). Fair conditions are hit and miss, depending on how the seller listed it.

The other was an ATT s6 active and it worked no problem, till i swapped my mom over to T-mobile and gave her my old Iphone 6s.

WEBMar 2, 2022 · For future reference, at&t carrier-locked phones will often work with cricket. Important to check with the manufacturer and carrier first though. The seller will most likely not know. this reply sounds so negative, it's not meant to scare you from using swappa. Swappa offers a service that many users use and most people are happy. Good luck!

WEBJun 15, 2022 · Yeah, I'll second this. Selling on eBay/Swappa/whatever is taking a decent risk. I haven't had any issues with Swappa buyers (I've sold 3 phones there) but I have had issues with eBay buyers falsely claiming that the item was broken or not as described. In my experience, eBay/PayPal/etc nearly always side with the buyer.

I sold my 6 plus in october and the buyer has just NOW come asking for a refund because the phone is non functional, with proof being a work order from apple from yesterday asking for $329 dollars to replace the device...
