Sega revealed a new video game title Sonic X Shadow Generations during Sony 's State of Play presentation today. The game will be released in Autumn 2024. The game is a new collection of iconic 2D and 3D Sonic levels from Sonic Generations, remastered and expanded for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

SEGA shared plenty of news about Shadow x Sonic Generations this week, but the big announcement was that Shadow from the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie will be featured in the game. A level will be included that’s inspired by the film and Keanu Reeves is even on board to voice the character for the DLC.

Last week, Sonic X Shadow Generations was rumored to be making an appearance at Summer Game Fest. Now, just one day before SGF kicks off, a few key details about the game itself have also been leaked. Today, the release date and box art of Sonic X Shadow Generations were apparently confirmed by insider Billbil-kun via a Dealabs article.
