Boris Johnson has said he suspected France’s Emmanuel Macron of “weaponising” the small boats crisis to “punish” Brexit Britain. Writing in his forthcoming memoir Unleashed, the former Prime Minister suggested Mr Macron discreetly allowed migrants to cross the Channel to “drive the British public nuts”.
