MPD says they are familiar with the boys involved and that the 14-year-old boy was on the scene when officers arrived.

A woman who was shot last week at a Minneapolis homeless encampment has died from her injuries, according to a release from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.

MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) – Minneapolis Police say a 13-year-old boy is dead after an apparent accidental shooting early Tuesday morning. Officers were called to a residence around 1:30 a.m. where the boy was suffering from a single gunshot wound. First responders tried to save him, but he died at the scene.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded to the report of a shooting on the 2400 block of Ferrant Place at around 1:30 a.m. There, they found a 13-year-old boy inside a home who had been shot once.
