As air quality worsens in the Delhi-NCR region, schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar have been directed to conduct online classes until November 23. The district magistrate’s order follows the invocation of Stage IV of the GRAP after the AQI breached the ‘Severe+’ category.

The order of the Gurugram authority comes amid the rising pollution levels in Gurugram and the neighbouring Delhi ordering the closure of physical classes and precautionary measures in Noida.

Due to hazardous air quality in Delhi and surrounding areas, the Supreme Court has mandated the immediate implementation of GRAP Stage IV, including school closures and remote work. Delhi University and various schools in the NCR have shifted to online classes until November 23.
