After road wins at Virginia and Florida State, the Tar Heels came off their second bye week and, behind a yeoman’s effort from Omarion Hampton, ran over Wake Forest to win a third straight game.

North Carolina will head back home after two road games between their two bye weeks. The last four weeks have been fun for Tar Heels fans, getting back into the winning grove with dominant performances against Virginia and Florida State.

In some ways, it seems like it was not that long ago that Wake Forest won three of four games, was sitting at 4-4 overall, and had visions of bowl games dancing in their collective heads.

The North Carolina Tar Heels have won three-straight games and have officially clinched bowl eligibility this season. That's an impressive feat for a team that had a four-game losing streak including being blown out by James Madison.
