Small plane crashes and burns on Outer banks, killing multiple passengers, NC park says
“Multiple” people died when a single-engine aircraft crashed near the Wright Brothers National Memorial on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, according to the National Park Service. The dead were all passengers on the plane, officials said. Their identities have not been released.

The National Park Service says the plane crashed around 5 p.m. Saturday into a wooded area at Wright Brothers National Memorial’s First Flight Airport. The plane went up in flames following the crash.

KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. — Multiple people are dead after a single-engine airplane crash in the Outer Banks on Saturday, according to the Wright Brothers National Memorial's First Flight Airport. The incident occurred at approximately 5 p.m. Saturday. The single-engine craft crashed into a wooded area near the First Flight Airport.
