SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Election Day is among us, and the long lines people were anticipating, don’t seem to be there. That’s mostly because turnout was big on the Suncoast for early voting. Before the polls opened on Tuesday, Sarasota County was already at 67% voter turnout, and Manatee County followed close behind at around 63%.

As of 7 p.m.: 0/103 Sarasota County precincts are reported; 280,430 ballots were cast, with an overall 84.10% countywide voter turnout. 0/71 Manatee County precincts are reported; 229,319 ballots were cast, with an overall 81.38% countywide voter turnout.
