WASHINGTON (AP) — Starting this month, Americans will be able to order free
COVID-19
test kits that will be mailed to their homes. U.S. households will be able to order as many as four nasal swab tests at COVIDTests.gov when the federal program reopens.

The US government plans to make more at-home Covid-19 tests available for free this month as the country heads into respiratory virus season with high levels of the coronavirus already circulating.

Any household can order up to four at-home COVID tests through covidtests.gov. The rapid antigen tests use nasal swabs to detect the presence of the virus. Available tests include one that is designed to be more accessible for those with disabilities affecting dexterity or who are blind or who have low vision.
