No. 12 Georgia survived a challenge from No. 7 Tennessee 31-17 to stay alive in the College Football Playoff race. After Tennessee went up 10-0 in the first quarter, Georgia went on a 31-7 run over the final three quarters to pull away and beat the Volunteers.

Georgia’s victory over No. 7 Tennessee added another volatile ingredient into the College Football Playoff mixture while No. 1 Oregon dodged Wisconsin’s upset bid.

Tennessee was defeated by the Georgia Bulldogs following second half terrors. Tennessee would get off to a hot start in this game getting a quick stop on defense and driving down the field to score. The touchdown came from a run by Miles Kitselman who is a tight end but was in a heavy goal-line formation similar to what Tennessee used to do with Princeton Fant.
