The strike on power stations and a seaport, which killed four people, was the second known time that Israel has retaliated against the militant group’ attacks by striking in Yemen.

The Israeli army targeted a power plant and ports in Yemen in revenge for Houthi missile attacks, marking a fresh exchange in another front of the regional conflict. In a statement, the IDF said it had conducted a “large-scale air operation” with dozens of air force aircraft, including fighter jets and intelligence planes.

The Israeli strikes killed at least four people and wounded 29, the Houthi-run Health Ministry said in a statement, and residents said the bombing had caused power outages in most parts of the port city of Hodeidah.

The Houthi-run TV channel Al Masirah showed firefighters tackling a huge blaze in Hodeidah and said at least four people had been killed and 33 others wounded.

Dozens of aircraft struck Houthi targets in Yemen on Sunday in response to a recent attack on Israel, according to the Israeli military.
