The court case that captured the nation in 2022 was dubbed Wagatha Christie after Coleen’s detective work and months-long ‘sting operation ’ that led to her accusing Vardy, 42, of leaking fake stories about her private life to the press.

Essentially, it all began when Rooney outed Vardy over Instagram and claimed that she had been leaking information on the former WAG. Because of her sting operation (which was genius), she was then dubbed ‘Wagatha Christie’, a play on the fictional character, Agatha Christie who is a diddy old last who solves crimes.

The Wagatha Christie trial followed a months-long investigation by Rooney into the source of leaked personal stories, which had been sold to The Sun newspaper. She limited her viewers and planted fake stories,
