Cleveland Guardians star Jose Ramirez has enjoyed one of the best years of his MLB career this season, and while his traditional numbers are impressive, a deeper dive into Ramirez's stats show just how phenomenal he has really been in 2024.

Unfortunately for Ramirez, his career has fallen into lockstep with 32-year-old Yankees slugger Aaron Judge, who won the MVP award in 2022, when he led the AL in an outrageous nine categories, including home runs (62), RBI (131), runs (133), and OPS (1.111) – and he is having an even better year this year.

Ramirez could become the seventh player with a 40/40 season if he can hit two more home runs within the Guardians' final two games. If he also hits two doubles, he'll join Alfonso Soriano (2006) as the only players with at least 40 homers, 40 steals and 40 doubles in a single year.

José Ramírez finished the 2024 regular season with 39 home runs, 39 doubles, 41 stolen bases and 118 RBI, as well as a record-breaking 180 total bases on two-strike counts.
