A 21-year-old woman was allegedly raped by three unidentified men, who also tied her male friend to a tree and assaulted him at an isolated place in Pune.

Pune Police on Friday evening released a sketch of one of the accused in the Bopdev Ghat gang-rape case and urged the public to inform them if they have any details of the suspect.

Day after the incident, police released sketches of two of the suspects as they intensified efforts to trace the culprits and sought the help of citizens to catch them.

The police said initial probe found that the woman and her male friend had gone to Bopdev Ghar area where three men allegedly raped her.

In response to the incident, ten police teams have been established to locate the perpetrators. An official from the Kondhwa police station confirmed that the assault occurred in an isolated area, where the trio not only raped the woman but also assaulted her male friend.
