Ryanair flights from Dublin airport to European destinations such as Spain, France and Germany have been cut from today amid a controversial annual passenger cap. The budget airline has also stopped some flights to Lithuania and Romania.

Ryanair has cut 14 routes from Dublin Airport, including destinations in Spain, France, and Germany, amid to the airport's 32 million annual passenger cap. Airlines have called for it to be lifted as demand exceeds limits and could potentially affecting airfares this Christmas.

Ryanair has confirmed that they are set to axe flights at Dublin Airport over the ongoing passenger cap controversy.

Ryanair, one of Dublin Airport’s two biggest operators, has already begun to trim services from the country’s biggest airport this winter, with some of those cuts likely to extend to next summer. Ryanair has already decided to cut 14 routes from Dublin for the October to March period This is due to restrictions imposed by regulators on capacity due to the 32 million annual passenger cap.
